Getting double woot off notifications

I’m getting the same notification twice in a row when a new item is announced.

From the app? I’m not on my iphone.

Do you by chance have notifications also turned on for Twitter? We do post there as well.

Yeah from the app. I follow you on Twitter but don’t have notifications on.

Could you try restarting the app?

Restarted. Still happening. Also now delayed by like 10 seconds now server strain I’m guessing.

Hmmmmm. Try turning off notifications and then do a restart. Then turn them back on.

Also check your setting for Twitter just in case. We only started doing woot-off on there a couple months ago.

Update: Still double and delayed. They’re off. I don’t see woot off on there. Last post was 9 hours ago about sunglasses. I have Twitter notifications on for some other unrelated pages btw. I’m on iOS18 if that matters.

Hmmmm, it might. I’ll ask around.

So these are the daily Woot deal notifications, not Woot-Off?

Update: Nevermind it was a fluke I seem to be getting double all notifications.

I restarted my iPad seems to have fixed Woot off notifs, but now I’m getting double the usual notifications was fine yesterday.

Usual notifications? The Woot daily that just went out a few minutes ago? Was that before or after you restarted your iPad?

Yes. It was. Now it’s doubling every notification.

I have notifs on my android phone as well, but I can’t check it rn. Not sure that matters.

@ThunderThighs Now it’s down to 1 for the last 2 still delayed , this is probably due to too many people stressing the servers

@ShadowHeir I did think of one thing you could try. Does it make a difference if the app is open vs fully closed (like swiped away in the recent apps screen)?

No.

If there’s a coupon today. I’m 100% gonna miss it with a 10 second delay :smiling_face_with_tear:

  1. Forum threads are created faster than the notifications which go out.
  2. Fridays are generally gif days.
  3. Is it gif, or gif?

Thanks for the tip. The inventor made it clear it’s pronounced JIF, not GIF who am I to say otherwise?

I didn’t give jif as an option.
