Is this a good camera to buy for the pre-teen kids?

Sure! With a name like, what is it again? GPM, it ought to rival the quality of your cam-equipped cellphone… Only my phone has 8GB, whereas this one only supports 1.
Oh… GFM, not GPM… well that makes all the difference in the world… Too bad it’s sold out already.
I bought one of these last woot off. Its a tricky interface to view video or pictures, but its pretty nice for the $. I bought it to let my kids throw around, and it has been down the sled hill many times and is still cookin.
GFM is a store brand for Meijer, a big-box retailer local to the Mid-West. GFM (which stands for Get it First @ Meijer, btw) items are made by the same company that makes other store brands and licensed brands like Westinghouse.
SO, yeah, low quality, but then again, it’s cheap, soooo… caveat emptor?
I have a 2gb in mine and it works fine. havent tried a 4gb which is HD.
