Does router except fiber optic?
Hi there. These are being pulled from Amazon inventory so we don’t have a lot of information. Here it is on Amazon:
I see an installation guide and spec sheet over there that may help you.
That said, this isn’t a modem. You still need your modem and that connects to this via Ethernet Cable. This assumes that your modem has an Ethernet Out port.
This is a Wi-Fi router that accepts RJ-45 connectors for the WAN & LAN ports. It does not perform the functions that a fiber modem would to convert the fiber connection to ethernet if that is what you are asking.
The specs do say that the router has gigabit ethernet ports so it should support ISP speeds up to 1Gbps from your provider.
There are no specific details on the processor (specs just state a 1Ghz processor, but not whether it is dual/quad core, etc) and no mention of RAM in the specs.
If you have a limited number of connected devices this may function well.
