Amongst other things, this event’s title is a great reference to a long-running classic British comedy about three old men in Yorkshire: Last of the Summer Wine.
The show did run out of steam a bit after its 20th season in 1999, but continued stalwartly and relentlessly until 2010.
For all the talk of wine, there was not much conspicuous consumption, making this a much more family-friendly series than might be construed from the title.
