I noticed that yesterday. And all of the accounts were just created in the last 24 hours. Can you say shills. I wonder if woot will disqualify the entry.
It is unlikely Woot will disqualify entry based on votes. It’s obvious this person has a lot of supportive friends, but there’s nothing against the rules there. Voter participation has dropped off enough over the years and as a result we see entries like this that can fog as a result. Fortunately they have changed the rules such that the winners are no longer based solely on votes. Woot now has the power to curate the contest when situations like this present themselves, and that’s the more likely outcome here.
