Be careful with these cheap OBD2 readers. I bought one from here a long time ago (not sure if same brand). It would connect to my phone or tablet but would never read any codes from cars. Tried it on about 5 different makes\models and it never worked. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

  • COMPATIBLE WITH ALL ANDROID DEVICES: This Bluetooth Scanner pairs with any Android or Windows Phone Device EXCLUSIVELY. It does not work with iOS software or iPhones. *

There’s something you don’t see everyday. Works with Windows Phone, but not iOS!

Are either of these units capable of reading air bag codes? Normal OBD II scanners can’t.

WiFi version is compatible with all.

Bought one, did not work with my Buick. I tried two different apps with it and neither could get the codes. Also, it did not come with anything (no CD or instructions)

Bought WiFi one and works with my Iphone 6S just had to try multiple apps to get one that worked for my car.

I got one with bluetooth and it works with my Galaxy S6 and with my Mini Cooper. Note, make certain you down load the correct app. When I replaced my phone I downloaded the wrong app and it would not connect. Once I got the right app, it worked OK.

I just used it to read a check engine light and it listed an oxi sensor code. I checked the sensor and the connector had been fouled with oil. A quick cleaning with a contact cleaner and I was able to reset to warning code using the Scanner. All works well now.

It is a cheap scanner but it can have its uses. Just don’t expect it to function like an expensive scanner.

Of course it is only $15.99 with prime on the mother ship for the BT version. So if you are not bundling with other shipments…

no instructions in box, just obd11 and a piece of paper, frowning

We are very sorry to hear that! You should be able to contact them here and they should be able to get you everything you need.
