I am torn on this. I bought mine about 9 months ago. I wanted to love this thing. Ready to go right out of the box. Easy to operate. Put materials in, about 1/3 to 1/2 full, turn every few days or weeks.

It takes much longer to produce compost than the producers claim. It does work eventually, but may need more air holes to help things along.

Anyone ever tried this as a vermicomposting unit?

A friend bought one of these last season. It’s nice, easy to turn and ready to go out of the box. But my trash can with holes drilled in the side works just as well. Takes a little more effort but cost $10 - $15.

I’ve seen this deal on here a few time and I still can’t decide if I should get it. Currently I have two, 50 Liter, old trashcans that I drilled holes in, and I manually have to churn it with a shovel whenever I get a chance, no one else in my house will even attempt it.

I was also debating about building my own compost turning thing like this, out of a wood frame and a food grade 50 liter water container that I would have to buy for 30$ each, and then the wood from home depot.

I just checked and saw that 7 cubic feet = 198.218 Liters! That’s 4 of my trash cans.

Conclusion to my rant. I think I am going to get in on this deal… I would be way over the $90 budget to get the equivalent 198 liters of compost.

If this came with instructions on how to get my dog to dump straight into this, I’d buy one.
