After being very confused and looking it up, I’m pretty sure that it’s supposed to say “Miracast”, not “Miracase”, in the wireless spec.

Is this open box with possible parts missing? Also, will I be able to upgrade it to Android 4.4.4?

Heres some information on Android 4.3

Heres some information on Android 4.4 when you upgrade your Nexus

edit: added link on Android 4.4

Someone is slow with the QP’s today, probably working up a BOC link or something, right?

CNET calls this “excellent” and engadget did the searching for you and gave it an overall score of 88/100

I bought mine a few weeks ago when it was $185 on sellout.woot.

I absolutely love my nexus 7. I use it to chromecast Netflix and HBO a lot. Whenever I find some downtime at work I read for a bit or play some emulators. It’s really fast and I’ve already customized the living daylights out of it. Plus, I can’t tell that it was factory reconditioned. One of my best purchases in recent memory.

These are Factory Reconditioned. You won’t have any parts missing. In the Specs tab, you’ll see:

In the box:
Asus Google NEXUS7-ASUS-2B32 7 32GB Tablet (Gen 2)

USB Cable
Wall Charger

Additionally, you shouldn’t have any trouble doing a software update.

4.4.3 is already available for this model. Sounds like it will see 4.4.4 as well:

For you? Not a chance. Mwahahahaha!

I went to bed, you can post it now.

Edit: I always feel bad for you on weekends when there aren’t any polls for you to comment on :frowning:

Double edit: I randomly click your bird, just incase.

Sorry for the headache. Fixed!

Out come the secrets. Ha!

Yes, the 2013 nexus 7 is already on 4.4.3 and is receiving 4.4.4 now. I fully expect it to receive the next version (4.5 probably?)

If you’re in the market for a tablet, you won’t find a better one for the price. I bought mine on launch day and still love it. It’s fast, has a great screen and good sound, and it’s very portable. Perfect size. Great battery life.

One thing to note: If you can afford to pay more and don’t mind waiting a while, it’s the time of year when new hardware gets announced…though nobody’s quite sure if there will be another nexus tablet.

I picked up a brand new 32gb model back in the fall for $200, and it’s been my “daily carry” tablet ever since. I have it running the M-series builds of CM11 and it’s about as stable as a modded device can get.

Not sure if this will be of interest to anyone, but just today I picked it up after leaving it sitting unused on a coffee table for a week. Expected to find the battery long-dead but it still had 38% remaining, and it was far from fully charged when I last used it (around 80% if I remember right). Very good deep sleep, even while running a non-stock ROM.

according to google’s play store, the 32 GB black nexus 7 is out of stock. i just caved and bought a nexus 5 through google. i am tempted to pick up a nexus 7 and the speaker (through woot) to add to my collection of tech, and save a little on shipping. i avoided the temptation on wine.woot yesterday, so of course i should give in to today’s trinkets.

I got one via Woot on Amazon about a month ago. The resolution is good and it does what I need it to do, but there was an intermittent screen flicker. Dealing with Asus support hasn’t been a great experience.
