Gooseneck Kettle with Thermometer, 34 oz

Gooseneck Kettle with Thermometer, 34 oz

Buyer beware.
Bought this on the woot-off earlier this week for the same price. Got it yesterday, and it’s going back.
“34 oz.”, it ain’t.
First, that’s supposedly if you fill it to the very brim. So, I filled it to where it was just about to spill over, and even then, the most it would hold is ~900ml, or fully 10% less than the “1 litre full capacity” stated on the package.
The doc that’s included tells you that the “max boil” line is 640 ml. That, by the way, is ~21.6 ounces, FAR LESS than the 34 oz. or 1L stated here or on the box. In fact it’s fully 36% less.

Anyway, if your cup of coffee is about 12 oz. which is what my pour-over is, then you aren’t going to get 2 cups out of this. 1 cup with enough to maybe rinse your filter and warm your cup, but if you need to make 2 cups of coffee and they are more than 10 oz each, get a bigger one.

If you’re ok with this much smaller-than-advertised capacity though, go for it, because it is a damn good product.
