This may be the most comfortable and well-balanced pourover kettle I’ve ever used. The handle fits nicely in my hand and it’s designed so that I never burn my knuckles by accidentally touching the hot pot. The kettle itself holds heat well but is lightweight enough that I’m not tempted to rush my pouring to get it over with.
I figured the attached thermometer was a nice but unnecessary feature because I already had a steaming cup with a built-in thermometer. I used to pour the heated water from my electric kettle into the cup to check the temperature but the thermometer on this kettle lets me skip that extra step.
I don’t use it as much now because I added an electric gooseneck kettle to my arsenal that handles the temperature control. That’s my daily driver but it’s smaller than this one, which gets pulled out to make a bigger pot on the weekend.
