As a Chef, I would not purchase a cheap set of knives. you not being me, have at it.
Any recommendations?
If they quadrupled the price would you buy them?
As an Engineer, I have the expensive knives. The one I use? A pink 98 cent one from Wal-Mart. I hate sharpening knives so I don’t use the good ones.
These knives have the blade coated with what appears to be some sort of enamel finish, but obviously the edges is not. I would have to wonder about that coating as the blade gets nicked, resharpened and flexes over time. I certainly can’t see the benefit of a coated blade over one that is kept clean and sharp.
What the hell is “magma steel?”
Good chef’s sets don’t have to cost a lot. they just need to last your lifetime. Victorinox, is a great knife maker that doesn’t break your wallet. and they will last.
stainless steel knives with blades that have been coated in granite
. Do not buy!!!100% painted scrap metal gimmick knives
Don’t knock ‘‘em till you’ve tried them
Don’t take these knives for granite
Actually these are coated with/dipped in molten Basalt rock that has been melted down in a crucible. Unless that steel is stainless, you’ll need to wipe them down with mineral oil EVERY time they are used & washed.
