did I post these?
Have you had a really good physical lately?
Home! 3 days od RR and FO. So nice!
We will hit the 3 cemeteries this weekend, too.
Did you take a covid test? You could get some Paxlovid.
I did the usual Friday. Worked till 12, stopped by PT for a short workout, headed to the nursing home to see mom. She’s stable, seemed fairly lucid, just not feeling good. They keep changing her meds, doing more bloodwork, change meds again. As of today she is finally off of all antibiotics, so fingers crossed that she feels better soon so she can get her strength back.
She thinks she’s going to die. I kinda think she’s going to die. We can’t seem to really have that conversation. I’m not sure it’s necessary.
It’s very humbling to feed your mother her lunch.
I feel like I have a big cast iron wall around me to keep my shit together. I’m not having a whole lot of feelings, kind of numb. It’s gonna be ugly when the levee breaks.
I’m glad you did. He looks so happy. Love it!
I wish I could make this better for you. For you both. We’re all here for you.
6 pm? it’s 7:27 pm here…
6pm Woot time (which is CT)
I played dice game and all I got was a badge. Like usual.
shrug.
Off to dinner with the hubby.
Let’s have a good weekend all.
Please take care of yourselves and loved ones.
missed it
was cleaning N’s apartment while he’s away
had chicken ramen for dinner as my reward. yum
N said the spaghetti pizza was messy but delicious lol
Just something to think about. When I was at PT this afternoon a girl came in, probably late teens. Had on a pair of shorts that were just fine. At least they were fine until she was on her back with her feet up in the air. There was another woman, probably in her 40s, who had on a pair of flannel shorts, like sweatpants, also fine until she was on her stomach on the table and then a good half of her rear was was on display.
I know. I know… I hurt so much for you – for both of you.
I was in the nursing home with my mother-in-law when she said, “I think I’m dying.” I had no clue what to say. I refused to say, “No, no. you’ll be fine,” because we both knew she wouldn’t be. Also didn’t want to agree with her. I just kind of let it ride and then talked about something else.
Aww Chev! It isn’t easy. It is not supposed to be. That’s love and sometimes it stinks. Here for you❤️
That table doesn’t sound safe for shorts.
We don’t ever want to think about it. But we all know it is inevitable. You hope it is later than sooner. And it can be a relief to all just to be over all the worsening health issues.
Hope mama chev recovers.
As much as I hate to admit it right now (because it can be boring), sometimes doing nothing is exactly what the doctor orders.
@pepper114 The sooner you do nothing and relax is the quicker you can get better and then you can do something again. I know it’s got to be hard when you want to be up and getting things done, but it’s okay to take some time for yourself to heal.
Let us know if you need help sandbagging the levee, so to speak.
