Days I do WFH…

Why the difference? Less time to make a sandwich at work?

Yeah, I have the time to fry up a nice sammie at home.
Much quicker to throw some cream cheese and a couple slices of toast in a bag… and work has a toaster.
Most days at work, I eat my lunch while working. So don’t want a ton of slop.
At home, I can be a little messier.

Makes sense. I usually just eat a salad that I put together at home or just bring leftovers (except Fridays). I have a shared office and we’ve got a couple of appliances (microwave, single cup coffee maker, panini grill, and air fryer) that either my coworker or I brought. We both have our own mini fridges. We lock up when we leave so no one messes with or messes up our stuff but people are free to use it while we’re here so long as they clean up after themselves. Coworker always has candy on her desk. It’s not a terrible setup.

Oh yeah.
I have this tiny coffee maker. It makes about ONE reasonable cup of coffee at a time. My mug at work is small, so it makes two of those. It’s almost laughable, but I don’t really need more caffeine then that.
There is kitchenette that I can put my stuff im and a bigger fridge on the main floor… but I am so absent minded I would prolly forget my stuff and find it pitched the next day, tupperware and all.
So I just take a small lunch box with an ice pack. I usually bring cream cheese, bread for toast and creamer… sometimes a hard boiled egg or two… Once in a while I will bring some leftovers.
I keep snacks like nuts at my desk. Sometimes I will have tea in the afternoon.

When I stay busy I don’t really get hungry. I forget to eat breakfast some mornings.
I did make granola over the weekend, so I am totally bummed that I forgot breakfast this morning.

The person who was burned is a full stranger. He will never know unless they reach out.

Immediate fix: Add some coolant

Longterm fix: Replace valve cover gasket due to leaking oil (AND COOLANT) and the serpentine belt due to leaking oil on it or it’ll either run off the pulleys or shred itself. $400 after we decided to just replace the whole valve cover with built-in PCV. Monday…just got to keep an eye on it until then.
