Good Morning Greens! Hotel life is weird. The bar shut down at 10pm, sharp. The bartender just disappeared. No internet or wifi!! Like the dark ages. I was awakened by an owl. Looking forward to seeing home. The coffee lady showed up. Glorious!

Mornin Greens! It is a cold Tuesday here. We had2 weeks of spring weather, nice comfy temps, now back to winter! Crazy.
Today’s WTF: The First 3D Film Was Shown in 1922.
The first 3D film, called The Power of Love , had its premiere at Los Angeles’ Ambassador Hotel Theater on September 27, 1922.

She is, very sweet. still skiddish like the rest, but very inquisitive.
It so much fun to see them change colors in the first few months.
we had no idea how many roos and how many hens when we got them.
Looks like at least three roos and at least three hens, and one we are still not sure about.
Two are working on their crowing.

That is the best chick brooder!
It was so nice getting rid of the big heat bulb on all day/night and the chicks seemed to like it too.

The chicks seem to like it just fine, this is the second set of babies ran through it.
That cone is great, too, it keeps them from getting on top.
I see pics of other people with brooder plates covered in poo.
My wife was worried about the temp outside the plate. The room we wanted to keep them in was between 55-60. So we had them upstairs with us for the first few weeks. I think it was TOO warm for them. Saw them laying with their wings out a few times.
I have reached out to the maker a few times for some questions and they have gotten back with me within a day…
