green grotto, part IV

congrats on the new, non-lemony car and I’m so happy to hear that you and mrs. d are enjoying her retirement!

Wouldn’t just be easier for everybody to have poof’s email and password? That way we can all see the picture.

Because if they’d swim in pepper water they’d sneeze.

Or she could email it to one of us and we could post it.

I don’t know how much of a Throwback this one is, but it makes me think of our dear dave every time.

Well the contractors are gone! Now our hard work starts…here are some pics of the work that was done…

2 1/2 inch holes drilled, insulation pumped in and then filled with a styrofoam puck…

More…and the styrofoam puck used to fill the hole…

Finally, 18 inches of blown in insulation in our attic…

I have 86 holes in the house. They are on all exterior facing walls, you can tell the difference already, the house is warmer and very quiet.

Y’all gonna be WARM this winter! Good thing. Didn’t get above freezing today.
How much snow we gonna get this weekend? Enough to get me a long weekend, Monday cancelled?

I think we should create a new alcoholic drink and call it “The Frozen Goat”. What could we put in it?

I think about 6 inches but some ice mixed in! Maybe more icy your way!! Yikes!

The Frozen Goat sounds like an ice cream parlor!

LOL! I picture it looking something like this:

2 ounces gin -- London dry gin
1/2 ounce Cointreau
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1 egg whites

So happy for the both of you! My neighbor retired and he is driving himself crazy because he is bored.

The Frozen Goat should be kinda citrusy-not-too-sweet maybe?

Or maybe more like this

This has:

  • 4 cups whole milk

  • 2 cups vanilla vodka

  • 1/2 cup vanilla agave syrup OR vanilla syrup

  • 4 cups seltzer

1 cup vanilla vodka

1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

Edible glitter (optional)

I had lunch with my Retired Work BFF today. She says retirement is so busy! I’m so jealous. I’ll never get to retire.

Vanilla vodka + orange pop + 7/11 slushie machine = a good weekend
