Hand mashed homemade
We have it. I’ve used it to make Country Fried Steak.
I love to. But don’t always have time. I need a sous chef and a dishwasher.
Saturday was busy. Tommy, dad, and I got a lot done.
Tommy has been prepping the floor for tiling. A little set back when the leveler just didn’t seal right. So he just put another layer of Kilz primer and will tile over that.
Dad painted the final coat in the bathroom and then the ceiling that Tommy had textured. He also worked on lights for the office/storage room.
I got to work on the plumbing for the utility room. This wasn’t in the plumber’s scope so we did it ourselves. We had to shut off the water to the whole building (us, the hairdresser, and 2 apartments) until I could disconnect the lines and add shut off valves. We had to get into the hairdresser’s basement to shut it all off. We are all on one meter. Now we can at least shut it off without going down there.
Using Shark Bite fittings and PEX tubing is so much easier than sweating copper pipe.
I finished it today. Also installed the new utility tub that dad assembled. No leaks.
Now I just need to secure it all.
This is all the crap I took out.
Round and round, double back, loopty loop. What a clusterf…
Oogie and I went to breakfast this morning at Burnside Barbeque.
Scrambled eggs and brisket gravy & biscuits. So good.
Got a 2 mile hike in. #5 in the spree. Need 3 more before the end of the month.
A little grocery shopping.
Then home. Had to put air in a couple of Oogie’s tires.
Then I went in to finish the piping.
Oogie raked. But it started raining and was dark by the time I got home.
No time to use the blower. Couldn’t anyway with a irreparable flat tire. Haven’t had time to put the new one on.
Our friend Kris passed late this morning.
This was October last year for their 35th Anniversary wedding party party. Not everyone was able to attend
Ron passed 10 years ago.
Who knew by this time that both Kris and my brother would be gone.
That’s so sad…
Seems like as I get older, I see more friends and family pass away.
Four. Daughter-in-law (who did nothing to help during the operations) had two cocktails ($25) and she and son had wine. I know she really, really wanted to order the wagyu steak, which was $15 an ounce. I know the price because she asked. If she had, I might have knocked her off her chair. But she did eventually order the cheapest steak on the menu.
knocked her off her chair. LMAO
unless i win the lottery, and maybe even if i did? i can’t see me ever paying 600 bucks for a 4 person meal. i would have a conniption fit. lol
