This thread is hilarious! Practically everyone is super serious in explaining that 1) you can use any type of stick, wand, or crutch as a door jam for sliding doors or 2) that 1 of the pictures appears as though the door isn’t installed correctly
I think the real selling point is the ability to jam a normal door without having to push a piece of furniture in front of it.
Regarding sliding glass doors-This seems useful to deter the casual crime of opportunity. But for the home invasion type of scenario, or breaking into your house while you are gone, a concrete block does a good job of getting through a sliding glass door.
From a best practices standpoint, are you going to brace EVERY exterior door with these EVERY time you go to bed, etc?
Pushing furniture in front of a door is hilarious! Don’t forget to remove the “sliders” and I highly doubt people are going to push a recliner in front of a door NIGHTLY before going to bed. Maybe you, but not everyone. Nuff said.
