I purchased a very similar item from another source and my major concern is with the non-user replaceable rechargeable battery. My unit does not retain a charge for more than a day or so and I have not discovered a way to open it up and replace the battery.
Please have your legal beagles look into Maryland law again. According to stories I read online from local papers, Howard and Baltimore Counties have lifted their stun gun ban as of last February.
Don’t use the flashlight portion of the unit and it should last. I’ve had mine for a year and discharge it once a month to ensure that it works and I’m still on the initial charge. Unit makes a loud sizzling noise that gets attention.
