Are these stamps or forged. Is the blade angle 22°?
The ol’ switcheroo!
Can you say’ “Sold Out”?
I knew you could.
They still cut, right? This is for those complaining about the price on the Shun.
Oh come come now, you couldn’t have thought I meant that?
You’re going soft, I tells ya.
These knives have elicited their fair share of er, derision, mostly due to the Guy Fieri persona and the brash colors…
But I gotta tell you, they are damn fine knives for the money. I bought the 4-piece block set last time they came up on Woot (which included the Santoku, an 8-inch chef’s knife and 4-inch paring knife, plus the block) and have been very happy with them.
The one thing I was concerned about was the grip and how they fit/felt in my hands; the handle looks a bit small in the photos, and I have big hands. But they are comfortable and have a nice balance.
Also, what looks like an odd angle between blade and handle actually enhances the knife’s cutting ability…you tend to let the knife do its thing, rather than “push” it through the cut.
As I’ve said before, these knives are just too cold for me. A super-hot blue flame and I’d be all over it. Blindness would also help.
X50CrMoV15 knives have good stain and corrosion resistance. However, they require frequent sharpening due to the low carbon in comparison to say 440c steel.
Nah, I knew you was joking. I just felt like channeling Mr. Rogers.
Even this guy’s knives are obnoxious looking.
Before you buy this knife, please remember that it is sponsored by the man who believes this haircut is a good idea:
That is all.
Honestly, I can’t watch anything he is in. I find him repulsive. He is always licking his fingers and putting them back into the food. I wouldn’t buy this knife no matter the price. I wouldn’t want to support his career as a biological hazard.
This knife would be so much cooler if it has a bleach blond spiked fuzz ball at the base.
