Says it’s made in PRC. Is that a tricky new way of saying China?
$199 at the mothership, $129 at Bed, Bath & Beyond.
Absolutely, more and more I have seen other things with PRC on the label, in case some wonder PRC = People’s Republic of China
It’s an old way of saying it. It was once law to print “Peoples’ Republic of China,” but congress, under pressure from importers, changed it to just “China” to make it kinder and gentler sounding.
If importers could save a buck by having stuff made in labor camps in North Korea, they would no doubt beg to have the product say, “NK.”
