Bought this, not because it compares to “professional” tools, but because I know it WON’T compare to them! Less power, less likely to break smaller screws. The pitfall is only having one battery and the Amazon page that Hammerhead themselves link to is out of stock.
The terminals appear to be the same as the Skil PWRCORE 20V tools/batteries, which makes sense since they’re also Chervon’s brand, but they do not fit due to physical interference where the battery tapers up on the sides. I may do some sacrificial modifications on the tools and see if Skil batteries can directly work on these. If so, that will be the additional source for spares.
Decided to modify a Skil->DeWalt adapter instead of the Hammerhead tools or Skil batteries. Any which way, proceed at your own risk!
Default fit:
Ground down the sides as needed until it clips in:
Good enough:
It’s alive!
(Note that I am not staff. I just volunteer to help out on the forums.)
Is that a big ball of yarn in the background?
You’re thinking like a cat as usual again. No, it’s a floormat deskmat that I used to catch the dirt sanded plastic.
