No but they used to fly right over our house when we lived in Kirkland WA. Drove one dog NUTS! Got to the point where all you had to say was BALLOON and he’d start barking… and not stop.

Every year there is a huge balloon festival in our county, that lasts about a week or so. Tons of activities, including balloon rides. Haven’t gone in one yet, but I will, eventually. I see them flying over my house regularly.

Nope, but this one regularly flies over my neighborhood for sunset tours.
Yes, back sometime in the 1990s. I can’t find any information online about it, the place went out of business pretty fast. It was based out of the Seagoville, TX. Airport, and called Adrenaline Adventures. But it was not a hot air balloon ride, although I’d still like to do that someday. The balloon was tethered to the ground, you climbed into the basket, strapped on a harness, and went up around 25 feet. Then climbed outside the basket onto a narrow ledge (decide in advance if you are facing forward or backward - my choice). The people on the ground do a countdown: 5,4,3,2,1, then everyone yells BUNGEE! Do a large backwards bunny hop in order to clear the ledge. And you must scream with joy while you are bouncing around before they lower you back down to the ground. I felt so alive and it stayed with me for quite awhile afterward.
