When I was in college I bought a wok off an infomercial called “The Great Wok of China”. Turned out to be a really good hand hammered carbon steel wok that I got many years of use out of before I moved to a new state and left it in my parents basement. The basement flooded and it was left wet so by the time I finally got back to go through my stuff it was just a wok shaped piece of rust. Also got several “As seen on TV” itmes in BOCs and Fukobukaros.
I bought a Ginsu steak knife, as I always cut up a can before recycling it.
