Once as a baby, again my senior year of high school… right before the yearbook photos so I’m in no group photos.
Then, after the chicken pox vaccine came out, the military tested me and i had no immunity… so they shot me up again…
Better than my mom though, she had the pox 7 times, and shingles at least 10.

I doubt anyone feels superior, I feel bad for people with HSV1/HSV2 or the variants (whitlow, gladiatorum, etc), at least VZV will clear after one infection 99.99% of the time and will only reappear as Shingles when older, of which I can confirm it’s highly painful (had them at 30 due to very high stress), so get your Shingles vaccine people!

Yeppers…both me and my sis had it at same time as young kids…mom swabbed every one with calamine…we were pink polka dot kids…they were everywhere, including our faces

Yes, we all had it as kids. When one kid got it, other moms asked if they could expose their kids so they could plan for it and get it out of the way. I remember the oatmeal baths! My kids got the vaccine and have never had it.

I got it when I was 32. I was at the Renaissance Pleasure Fair in Novoto, CA. Woke up on Sunday morning. It was a 8 hr drive home and I was driving. Needless to say, it was not fun. I was never exposed as a child. Make sure to get your shingles vaccine.

I had to be sent away to grandparents when I got them. My mom was going to deliver my younger sibling near that time, and I think there were questions on how her and baby could have complications. Some family members had “high-tech” video cameras of the day so I could see new addition. Extra memory with the chicken pox.

I see what you did there. I had my first case of shingles at about 20. The next one actually hit the nerve branch that aligned with my nipple. That sucked.

I’ve had both doses of the monkeypox vaccine, the first intramuscularly (normal shot, shoulder), the second intradermally (think TB test). The first shot was fine. The second took like 3 months to heal completely. Ugh.
