By George, the late appearance did take place per Mrgms’s assurances. Guess Santa is running behind schedule.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
Merry Christmas everyone.
No, this is not kosher. Not even a little bit.
A link to the winery.
Hopefully it works better for you than it did for me.
Not even a teensy weensy bit?
A riff on Sublime’s What I Got this has to be. I’ve also never heard of these wines before, despite being in the biz. The question, now, is do I buy and take a chance on Napa Valley, or do I mock and sit back and hope my preconceptions are valid?
Since it’s Christmas, I think I’ll pass. My uninvested earnings are sitting under a dying pine tree right now. My blessings to those who go for it, and please tell me how they are!
question: so i’ve seen NV with port and cognacs, but what does NV mean in terms of a syrah? especially in terms of quality.
I purchased this based on a little faith and a few reviews/pieces of information dug up by others, such as this review of the 2006 H by Havens Syrah posted in the discussion for the last offering.
I’m trusting that my Havens purchases will at least be drinkable, which is more than I can say for some local wines that I’ve paid more than $12 a bottle for.
And here’s a former labrat wishing everyone Happy Holidays:
that would make much more sense…for some reason I saw “NV” and thought non-vintage. i completely missed the 2005 right before the NV
Is there any way to filter out the non-kosher part?
Syrah = tempting…
I’m still hoping for Black and Blue but I am probably going to go in for one of these.
hahaha nice one
Merry Christmas everyone !!
Merry xmas! I have bought all of the Havens so far, so I figure I can’t go wrong here…
100% Napa Valley
74% Napa Valley
The left side of my brain lost communication with the right, and it’s screaming, “Contradiction!”
I think it means that 74% is from the napa region and the other is from that specific vineyard which is also in NV.
