Chill, man. Chill.
I just got the info that the initial count for write-ups needed for this woot-off (consider all the sites) was over 400. Our poor little pool of writers just can’t do that. So we’re going to preserve their wit, charm, and brains for the daily write-ups where they have 24 hours to be enjoyed and criticized.
So don’t be hard on our writers. Let’s be happy that they have a brain left for tomorrow.
I was simply fulfilling the mini write-up’s request for complaints about the woot-off. I wasn’t being serious. Hence the wink-face at the end.
Should’ve started the Woot!-off with the KY package this time to get people “in the mood”.
Hey, some of us ladies are always in the mood…for a Woot-off…
Well, I’m already in for 2 monkeys, so I thought I’d follow it up with the Roku, but it sounds like the Roku 2 is supposed to be a much better option… although I’m not exactly sure why, because I only read a few reviews.
If the Roku 2 isn’t much better than this thing, I hope someone will post and let me know, so I can save the $50+ difference between the two products.
Thanks!
They both work great.
The roku 2 is starting to offer more functionality.
Roku 2 does closed captioning & honestly they seem to run about the same sofar. But the roku2 is 1/3 of the size maybe even less.

That’s cool. I figured a explanation couldn’t hurt. I didn’t know about it so had to ask the Woot-Off DJ running things behind the scenes tonight.
Say hi to Brian, y’all!
So don’t be hard on our writers.
Beavis: Heh heh. You said hard on.
The refurbs are junk. They are good enough to keep and not return, but not good enough to use often. I highly recommend another alternative. A TV with internet apps is a wise decision.
I bought my 2nd Roku on Woot and I have NO complaints. They are very easy to set up and simple to use. Most of the time you won’t even need to read the instructions. It is intuitive.

Hi Brian - go easy on us - and keep those servers pumping, will ya? :hugz:

It’s gonna be a LONG woot-off, SN. LOL
YUS!!! Just when I thought I would die of boredom, WOOT OFF TO THE RESCUE. happily spams F5
Larson how well do you like amazon prime?
I am debating on it.
I have 2 roku 2’s & gave away my older roku like this 1 for sale. LOL
I need to sign up to netflix or something again as crackle is getting old as I seen all the movies already lol
I love Prime, though I do almost all my shopping through Amazon (free shipping, no sales tax), so it’s worth it to me just for that.
As for Prime Instant Video, I hear the TV selection is comparable to Netflix, though the number of free movies is limited. That being said, there are more than enough shows/movies to occupy my time, and the selection far outweighs what Crackle has to offer.

I could use something like this to watch Amazon streaming video, but I’m wondering if it’s easy to set up and if it works well.
Does anyone already have this? I know it has been offered here in the past, so I’m hoping someone will post a review.
Thanks!
I bought one for the granddaughter’s room and it works great! That room has no cable tv but Roku box’s wifi setup instantly and now she has all the movies she wants and in HD. Just bought 2 more!

Thanks! I went ahead and ordered one of these. The price is right, and since I only plan to use it to watch Amazon streaming videos, I think this model will be just fine.
Thanks again!
