You probably noticed the price is lower here. Never fear, we’re here to take care of you. As soon as someone in CS wakes up, we’ll be putting that $5 back into your pocket.

You can go buy yourself a couple sodas or you can put it towards some more socks today.

Of course, you know what we prefer.

I was about to complain. Thanks for the heads up on the price change.

It worked!

Hi, this looks like a good deal. But i can’t find these socks anywhere else easily. Not at www.head.com, they seem to have “sportswear” but no socks. Cool domain name though, and cool looking graphene racquets. Not at amazon either that i could see. So anyways, i saw they are 97% polyester and 3% spandex. So that got me thinking, is spandex safe? According to Allergylatexresources.org, spandex is safe if manufactured correctly:

"Spandex (now called Lycra or Lycra Spandex) was introduced in 1958. Spandex is a synthetic fiber made of at least 85% of the polymer polyurethane. Spandex is made from several chemicals that are known sensitizers. TDI and MDI (Toluene-2,4-diisocyanate; Methylene bisphenyl-4,4-diiisocyanate) are precursors of the polyurethane used to make spandex. TDI, a toxic chemical, has proved carcinogenic and can cause severe dermatitis. MDI is also toxic. Manufacturers of spandex products must use strict quality control procedures to ensure that no residual unreacted MDI or TDI exists in the final product.

I hope the manufacturers of these cheaply priced socks used strict quality control and ensured no residual unredacted MDI or TDI exists in the final product!

Since Spandex has been around for over 50 years, I’m betting they have the process down pat by now.

Head is a major manufacturer of sports equipment, I imagine they have it all worked out.

You need to think less.

Superheroes wear spandex, and they’re nigh immortal.

thats what you think… just think of all the superheroes that arent heard of anymore…I am starting to suspect a spandex link…

Again? How many pair of these does Woot have?!

Are low cut socks?? Please advise. Thanks.

Spandex is in all my boxer briefs and my whitey tities when until about 5th grade so it better be safe. Oh and I think the price of 1$/pair is because the ark ones are very… ummm how hll I put this? Ugly? Yes that is a very elaquent discription. They probably ha a ton to many and are throwing them at you for still probably below cost. Where are most clothes manufactured? Barely any overhead, just logistics and I actually found “Head” socks at the Westin hotel in the gift shop. So, it’s also probably a brand awareness advertising model.

regarding spandex… I better be able to have kids in a few years or I’ll habe some harsh words for Hanes and Michael Jordan :rage:

What size are these?

From the “Features” section:
One size fits most men’s shoe sizes 6-12.5

They look like ankle socks to me. Since they had low cut and ankle socks up for sale the other day, I would wait for someone from the woot! team to respond if ankle socks are a deal breaker.

So, how do these men sizes translate to women’s shoe sizes? Interested, but don’t want socks too big for my dainty size 9 feet.

All I know is my lady size 10s are men’s 8s in most things. I would assume these’d be fine for you.

Purchased these on May 30…

Couple things to be aware:

The size runs small. I wear size 10 shoes, and they are very snug on my feet.

They are listed as quarter height, they are however not nearly long enough to be quarters they are ankle socks.

They are already falling apart on me, with holes in several of them.
