These Heath bar were once a nickel each , or five cents or 5 pennies. The all copper pennies, not the zinc, copper coated type, that literally corrode in your pocket.along with the dollars you have.**
Yeah, and gas was once $0.27/gal. What’s your point? These sell for $1.00 each now in stores.
In my stores I can’t get them for less than $1.25 on sale. Time sure does change things. I understand @bucklebart 's point though I still miss the .10¢ boxes of Ricearoni the San Francisco treat
My point is a common candy bar, has become a luxury item.
They were also much bigger back then as well.
My Heath Bars arrived broken to bits, which was okay because I’m using them in cookie recipes. But a big BUYER BEWARE if you want unbroken bars. (BTW the boxes were in good shape, but shipped in a plastic envelope without any padding or protection.)
I’m planning on using them in ice cream. My Ninja Creami is gathering dust and I need to get my money’s worth out of it.
Just got mine they were in an envelope with no padding and boxes were destroyed but fortunately only a couple bars were broken. Usually they arrive melted. The weather in Fl had been a little cooler so i took a chance.
I love Heath Bars, they are not seen nearly as much in the stores these days.
This deal sounds wonderful, can anyone tell me the expiration date they see on their boxes? I love the bars, but I would like to eat them over several months.
Thank you to anyone who can provide some information.
The listing says 02/2024, so that’s the average of what the date on the boxes will be by a month or so.
If you don’t think you’ll finish them by February you can put them in the freezer and pull them out PRN(as needed) as we say in the biz.
They were shipped in a flimsy envelope, so boxes were smashed and bars were in pieces. Buyer beware…taste fine, but can’t be given to anybody and messy to eat.
