I recently bought the same product but in the 11 oz size. The container says âless waste.â The size of the unrecycleable cap (which collected plenty of mail inside it) relative to the amount of mayonnaise (in a bottle that I found so difficult to squeeze I had to insert a butter knife to remove a little mayo at a time through the narrow neck) rendered this such a substandard product that I plan to contact the manufacturer. If Iâd known it would appear on this list I would have taken a photo of the resulting disastrous countertop.
Also, itâs a different formulation than what you get in the jars, since this has to be squeezeable.
Itâs like something thatâs trying to be Hellmanâs (or Best Foods out here in the west), but slightly misses the mark for me.
I think if you store it âupside downâ on the large oversized cap, gravity will always keep the mayo towards the cap.
We bought one to take out on a outdoors meal, it worked good and still is working great.
I canât tell any difference in taste, but when itâs done weâll go back to the jars.
I do keep it upside down. Itâs been upside down the entire month of July because I hardly ever use mayo. [Good advice for almost all products. Possibly it didnât work as well on the 11 oz one because that same grade of plastic does it squeeze as well around such a small surface area.]
