Hellmanns Real Mayonnaise Spread Squeeze Bottle, 20 oz

I recently bought the same product but in the 11 oz size. The container says “less waste.” The size of the unrecycleable cap (which collected plenty of mail inside it) relative to the amount of mayonnaise (in a bottle that I found so difficult to squeeze I had to insert a butter knife to remove a little mayo at a time through the narrow neck) rendered this such a substandard product that I plan to contact the manufacturer. If I’d known it would appear on this list I would have taken a photo of the resulting disastrous countertop.

Also, it’s a different formulation than what you get in the jars, since this has to be squeezeable.

It’s like something that’s trying to be Hellman’s (or Best Foods out here in the west), but slightly misses the mark for me.

I think if you store it ‘upside down’ on the large oversized cap, gravity will always keep the mayo towards the cap.
We bought one to take out on a outdoors meal, it worked good and still is working great.
I can’t tell any difference in taste, but when it’s done we’ll go back to the jars.

I do keep it upside down. It’s been upside down the entire month of July because I hardly ever use mayo. [Good advice for almost all products. Possibly it didn’t work as well on the 11 oz one because that same grade of plastic does it squeeze as well around such a small surface area.]
