My guess is that a developer ate too much carls jr for lunch, passed out at his desk and when his forehead hit the keyboard, he deleted some code.
Random i know, but hey gotta do something.
I think that the developer was flying one of these junky helicopter thingies and it landed in his coffee which then spilled onto his keyboard causing it to short and delete code.
That or squirrels. Probably squirrels.
