I have 3 of these and I like them. My one complaint is that the wall wart is so huge that it takes three spots in a power strip. If you only need one of these, it’s probably not a big deal, but I rent these for events where they need to have multiple computers set up next to each other. The very similar HP laptops only take one space. For $90, it’s a fantastic value.
We got 1 last time up on Woot and it seems Like New… seems like a nice little box & boots fast as soon as you open the lid… exactly what we were looking for.
I bought one a couple of weeks ago, my first chromebook, and I love it. Use it all the time now instead of my android tablet. Like new in original box with original charger and quick start guide. Very happy.
Anyone know if this Chromebook is going to get Google Play store capabilities?
The official Google compatibility page lists:
HiSense Chromebook 11
Is that this one or a different model?
(edit: corrected “tablet” to “chromebook”)
Echoing the previous comment. I just got one a couple weeks back and love it. Very simple device, comes with a bunch of google drive storage so the 16 GB hd isn’t a big deal. It’s super light, slim and fast. Great for interwebbing on the go!
Buy and use some 8" extension cords that are made just for the purpose of plugging in oversize wall warts. you can get a set of 3 for $6 or $7 at walmart
This is not a tablet.
This is the ticket. I have a couple dozen 1ft extensions that I use for this. Monoprice sells them for about $1 each. They’re also great if you’ve got outlets that are hard to reach because of furniture. I leave the extension cords plugged in all the time, tucked just out of site but within easy reach.
Read the link more carefully: Soon, you’ll be able to use the Google Play Store and Android apps on many Chromebooks.
Yes. You are correct. I am also eagerly waiting for Google Play support in Chromebooks.
I’ve owned this for 6 weeks and love it. For the price, for emailing, web surfing, vid chatting, easy use, it’s unbeatable.
