Pretty good reviews on Amazon. The big one is selling for $99.99, new. Users mention initial problems with setup for multiple speakers, but nothing earth-shattering. Sounds like the first hooks to Bluetooth and the others to Wifi. I guess I’ll find out, I’ve been looking for a multi-speaker option for BT music since I added a second floor to my man cave.

If anyone’s already used these or is otherwise familiar with them, does the app have an alarm clock feature that lets you wake up to a playlist?

Is it just me, or does anyone else care about music being in stereo, and whether or not speakers like this are able to support it? Or is stereo now going the way of quadraphonic? Like we’re all too busy now to pay attention to anything but center channel audio?

It’s not just you. I’m still old-fashioned and as I slowly install built-in audio, it always consists of at least two speakers, with fairly wide separation. Some of the Bluetooth speakers do an amazing job considering the form factor, but at the end of the day they aren’t much better than an 80s boom box. It’s a compromise that has been around for decades.

Now let’s talk “soundbars”…

UPDATE: This uses Qualcomm’s AllPlay.

Does anyone know what linking technology this is using? Is it AllPlay, Linkplay, or ??
