Can this be applied over fresh stain?

No.

HELPFUL TIPS:

This product is intended for exterior surfaces only. Prior to using this product, you should always read the entire label including all cautions.

Allow new pressure treated wood to weather for at least 30 days before applying sealer. Do not mix with any other products.

Do not apply over previously painted or stained surfaces unless old finish is removed or completely weathered away.

Surface and air temperature should be above 50°F during application and drying. Do not use when rain is expected within 8 hours.

Test in an inconspicuous area to ensure you are satisfied with the appearance, as the color will vary depending on surface type and age.

Avoid contact with surfaces not intended to be treated. Cover adjacent surfaces with plastic before applying sealer. To avoid overspray when using a pump-up sprayer, spray the deck floor and inside of railings first. Then either brush the outside of rails, or cover the deck floor and spray the outside of rails.

For even color, don’t stop once you start applying
