If anyone’s looking at getting the Pinnacle Speakers FRONT ROW SYS 8210 soundbar/wireless sub combo, it’s available on Amazon for 179.99, free shipping with or without Prime (as it’s above $35). Just a heads up for price, but also, the reviews on the Amazon page aren’t super great (although there is only two).

[MOD: that is the price for “Used” which usually carry no warranty. Also, it’s $198 with shipping. We are selling NEW product with full warranty.]

Does this only work with samsung TVs? We have a projector, WII and ONKYO stereo plus random bluetooth enabled devices we would want to stream to the sound system. We don’t have a TV but use the projector instead for movies/etc. Wondering if this solves the wires-across-the-living-room-floor issue that crops up with projectors/etc.

ARRGGGG… hit the button before I run out of my office but the order did not take. any chance that energy stand will be offered again?

I love you WOOT!!! Saved myself $80 by purchasing it here. Have been flip flopping on the purchase for the last 3 days on AMAZON and saw it here. PURCHASED!

What are the specs on the Pinnacle Baby Boomer variable 50-150hz crossover slope? 3db/oct, 6db/oct, 12db/oct, 24db/oct?

And is the variable crossover filter active when you are using speaker level inputs?

And is the 23hz low freq spec’d as the -3db point?

Hello WOOT community. I am Arin with Pinnacle Speakers, TEAM LEADER consumer division.

Pinnacle is a family owned and operated USA based company, established in 1976. That’s 38 years and running for any “arithmetically challenged”…but seriously, we are famous in the Speaker and consumer electronics industry and known specifically for superior performance, innovative engineering and old fashioned, personal service.

We have products ranging from affordable “BUDGET AUDIOPHILE” to TRUE AUDIOPHILE up to $8,000. We offer these exclusive and no-brainer deals to WOOT as an exclusive buy it now, snooze or lose opportunity.

I will be here monitoring the forum to assist in answering any and all questions regarding our products. I have been with Pinnacle for 9 years and I will proudly tell you,we make terrific products. I am quite knowledgeable about our products and speakers in general, but if something is technically beyond me, I have access to one of our audio engineers for the highly technical questions.

There is no such thing as a “DUMB” question. These are complicated decisions. If you have a question, please ask. Chances are your question will also help many other Woot forum people.

I am a specialist in Pinnacle, I am here for Pinnacle Speakers. I cannot speak for other company products, though I can try to assist in building a system with our products and some existing items you may already own.

Whew, Arin is here. massarik’s question when woooooooof, right over my head.

Amazon is not authorized for this model. Maybe you see an “AFFILIATE” which is a 3rd party and not one we do business with. So,even if you pick it up, we cannot vouch for the source.

Hi,

OK, technical heavy duty!

23Hz is -3 db. The max SPL is a more relevent spec, which is around 112-116 DB.

If running sarellite speakers direct from the subwoofer, the variable x-over does not effect the sats, just the sub, I think that is what you meant.

The other question is beyond me and I can ask an engineer on Monday. Can you tell me a bit more as to why that info is relevant to your situation?

Thanks,

ARIN

Actually, we do not sell this item to Amazon and we do not see it listed by any 3rd part, also known as affiliate. Dell has it for $799 shown on Amazon. 3rd party affiliates are not Pinnacle authorized and we cannot vouch for the product, but still, we see no one offering the item anyway. Woot has the lowest prices in the country on this item. Anyone can list 1 unit for a low ball cost. Woot has inventory and is completely factory authorized.

I wish to use the speaker level inputs to this sub from my main speakers. I will not be using the speaker level outputs. I will running the sub in a “bass augmentation configuration” since my main speakers have good response down to about 40hz.

Hence, I wish to set the variable crossover on the pinnacle to 50hz and hope that it has a 12db/octive or better slope on the crossover filter to enable better blending of bass with my main speakers.

Hello,

Wanted to give thanks for bringing the Baby Boomer back. I actually got it near the end of the last event earlier this week. Just waiting for it to arrive. Probably early next week. Will have my review once I get it in and set up.

Ok, if you use the speaker inputs on the subwoofer then the crossover on the sub will determine the x-over point for the main speakers. So, yes, I would set the sub to lowest setting, say 50 HZ and let your main speakers roll off around there. Additionally, set the Receiver to LARGE as your main speakers are…well…Large. As to 12 db slopes that is not my level of knowledge and I will try and connect to a engineer on Monday. What I can say from my own personnal experience, the BABY BOOMER is exceptionally accurate and “TIGHT” meaning it hits the note and it snaps right back. A Superb music subwoofer. At this honestly…“RIDICULOUS” price by any measure, the BABY BOOMER should be a no brainer decision, but more importantly it will provide a significant degree of bass depth to the system. If anything I have here needs to be amended I will do so once I get to an engineer. Being the weekend, they are relaxing as their brains get taxed very hard during the week. (HAHA)

THANKS for this excellent set of questions,

ARIN

Arin,
I looked on amazon for reviews on the subwoofers and bookshelf speakers, and it says they are all discontinued. What are the new models of subwoofers Pinnacle is selling?

Can someone tell me what condition the Factory Reconditioned is in?? I really want to order some speakers but I ordered a factory reconditioned item from Woot before and OMG whoever had the item before used it for like 20 years then returned and I really don’t want someone else’s junk/heavily used item… THANKS in advance…

Hi, that information is not accurate. The word “DISCONTINUED” is used in the industry in a variety of ways. A seller or retailer can “DISCONTINUE” it’s carrying, selling or representing a product at either it’s or the manufacturer’s option. So, in this example the item itself is not MANUFACTURER DISCONTINUED, it is not offered by that retailer.

So, in this instance, all the items shown here on WOOT are current, not discontinued by us, the manufacturer. It can be confusing, so the best way to know for sure is check with the manufacturer if an item is discontinued by them.

And so, all items here are active, current, new in the box, great event prices on continuing products.

Thanks for the question.

Anybody know anything about the harmon bluetooth adaptor? Is it like airport mini? My new receiver, and most receivers that do bluetooth only accept a bluetooth signal from an exterior device and play it to it’s attached speakers. I would like to play the music from my receiver to external self powered bluetooth speakers placed around the house. If this does that, how good is it?

Same situation. Wondering the same thing.

I still need a wireless A/V transmitter/receiver set.
