How long does it take you to fall asleep?
When it’s time, it’s time.

I’d get to sleep faster if I wasn’t waiting up until 1AM to check the Woot deals.

In no time after long dark nights when the sun goes down before 5pm

If it weren’t for alcohol and diphenhydramine… I’d never sleep.
15 minutes… The poll had many options, but yet, it didn’t represent me.

Depends on when you start counting.
When I get in bed: 30-60min
When I put my phone down: about 30sec
Well this is a difficult question to answer because there are so many variables.
Anyone who can fall asleep regardless how tired you are when your head hits the pillow, I envy you. I toss and turn. But lately I’ve been falling asleep and waking up an hour later and being awake for several hours then falling asleep again for a few hours then hearing my alarm. ![]()

Good night, everybody! Sweet dreams!

Sometimes it takes more than 90 minutes, sometimes it doesn’t. Depends if I was woken up early and if I’m stressed out. There’s no consistency.

It depends on how tired I am. Usually 15 minutes or less.

This has given me an idea for an experiment:
I’m going to take some NyQuil, Melatonin, NoDoz and a giant Espresso all at once and see which one wins.
If I never post again, it means I lost.
Sleep is annoying. It’s just temporary death. This is why people wake up and act like zombies. You have to escape the momentum of death in the morning. The natural order relies on death, as it is the unchanging variable. Life springs up from death, creating change. So to answer the question, I go to sleep when I can no longer withstand the draw of death. Somehow we all find the strength to escape this eventuality every morning.

Depends on how long it takes my mind to stop hammering me with all the things that I want/need to do. And how loud the dogs are snoring. And whether or not the racing thoughts will slow down. So between a millisecond and a week. Sometimes my mind just gets the zoomies and it just doesn’t want to stop.

Round and round it goes: when it stops nobody knows!
I’m a light sleeper so need time to sleep
Anywhere from 15 minutes to not much. Dependent on the stress level of the day.
