On the third day (sometimes second day) if it’s not eaten then I throw it in the woods for the critters.

No old is to old for leftovers if you’re creative. I actually love Spaghetti sandwiches in the morning for breakfast, or a wonderful year old Meatloaf sandwich which crawled to the front and begged me to eat it because it I must have thought I needed a doses of Penicillin so it makes for the breakfast of champions :ok_hand::canned_food::pizza::taco::shallow_pan_of_food: :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::key::infinity::monkey:

I’m in the camp of about three days is as long as something should sit around in the fridge as a leftover. We typically cook 4-5 times per week and use any leftovers for lunches when possible.

What does a “fresh” one taste like?

Literally ate chicken legs that I cooked last week for lunch today.

If it starts growing fur or gets slimy, or smells too sour, it is too old. Everything else is fair game.

I find frozen ones > fresh ones.
They steam in the wrapper and the bun comes out softer.
I cannot speak as to 3mo old ones, lol
