Does any one know if HP fixed the problem with the keyboard ribbons getting crimped in their chromebooks and eventually causing keys to stop working?
I have a different model of HP chromebook that is now a paperweight for this reason and am worried about buying another.
Any one with any info on this would be helpful!
I have three similar HP chromebooks, all from Woot. Two of the three developed the keyboard issues you are referring to. I opened the case on both and re-folded the wires at different spots, taped them down, and now both work perfectly with no more problems. If you are remotely comfortable doing this sort of work, then I think these are still worth buying.
