Don’t buy. The first refurbished laptop I’ve bought from Woot, and the last.
A few of the problems:
The screen sometimes goes dark for no reason, leaving no other option but to shut down and reboot.
One of the USB ports works only intermittently.
Wondering if the software was flawed, I ran a diagnostic program (don’t remember the name or where I found it) from Microsoft that found some corrupted files in Windows 10 (but failed to identify them and gave no way to fix them).
“Reset this PC” doesn’t work (though, in fairness to Woot, that seems the case with many laptops featuring Win 10 preinstalled).
The soundcard pops loudly sometimes.
The touchpad/clickpad is unpredictable. There’s no way to know which tap, at which spot and at which level of firmness, will register.
Oh man, that sounds terrible. I’m really sorry your laptop turned out to be such a lemon. If you haven’t already, you should absolutely use the Support Form linked at the top of the page to contact customer support about these issues.
