HP 17.3" HD+ Touchscreen Laptop

I call my 17" HP laptops CRACKERS. After 3 months the hinge area started cracking before falling apart. Be prepared to send them in twice before the warranty runs out. :disappointed_relieved: :disappointed_relieved:

Two months ago I bought a HP ProBook 650 G4 for $50 more than this.

i7 8550U, 16gb RAM, 512gb SSD.

Don’t waste your money on this crap.

“Win11 in S-Mode” = RUN AWAY. You can’t install real programs on this machine, only installs allowed are from the Microsoft App store.

If it’s anything like Win10 in S Mode, it’s very easy to turn it off. All that happens is a warning that pops up and basically asks, “you sure? S Mode is safer.” When you click yes, you get full windows and install to your hearts delight. That said I still wouldn’t touch this thing.

The Smode can be removed for free in about 60 seconds! Don’t let the stupid Smode be the deal breaker on any PC.

Where did you purchase it?

Celeron processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB of storage, and Windows S Mode (yes, it can be disabled). Hard pass. You’d be better off with a Chromebook.

4GB of RAM? Seriously? Even the S&D ones the other day that were under $100 had 8GB!
