Just a reminder, these Stony Ridge A9 dual core processors from AMD are based on the old Excavator architecture rather than the newer Ryzen based Raven Ridge architecture.

Is that good or bad?

It is not good. The old Excavator architecture wasn’t very efficient and couldn’t hold a candle to Intel processors.

The new Ryzen APU’s are a horse of a different color altogether. The Ryzen APU’s for laptops and tablets compete very easily with Intel chips, utilize new Vega graphics built into the CPU that runs circles around anything Intel has to offer and does it for a whole lot less than what Intel charges.

I’m not saying that these are bad APU’s just don’t expect much from them when compared to AMD’s latest offerings.
