Just bought a very similar refurb (less memory) on Newegg for $139.

Same price on Newegg (free shipping available) but 1 year warranty. Isn’t Woot only 3 months?

I thought those specs would work really well for a computer for sales for our business but it seems like it’s not really a deal.

Show’s 1 Year Verified. Looks like the Newegg deal is 120GB and this is 180GB… not sure how much more that should be, but just wanted to point it out

Question:

Why would I choose the more expensive 180 GB Solid state vs. the 500GB SATA drive?

I’m not great with computers so not sure. I want to get something cheap for my mom to fill with malware like usual.

Thanks!

True, I left out that difference but if you need more storage you need a 2nd likely mechanical drive anyway.

As for the SSD - yes, SSD’s are much better performers than mechanical drives. Very snappy, everything will run faster on the computer, they are worth it in my opinion. They of course don’t list what brand/model the SSD is though. They all perform differently and some degrade faster than others.

Are there any slots available for video upgrade or to add wireless card? Thanks.
