CPU Benchmarks

My HTPC/Windows Media Center finally gave out of 9 years of faithful service. I bought this desktop last week with the same specs, but with a 160GB HD for $100 more.

  1. This makes a great HTPC
  2. Runs super cool
  3. VERY quiet

I added a Ceton Infinitiv 4 channel card and my WMC via Xfinity CableCard is back up.

I highly recommend this PC for a HTPC or family desktop. The 2TB HD and maxed out RAM is awesome.

Not even 2 a.m. EDT and it’s sold out already?! What a tease…

Not only that but 99% of users bought 3

Which If they only had 4 to begin with, would make sense. Kind of unfair to have a limit like that with so few to sell.

Looks suspiciously like a hostile takeover by shadow puppet accounts intent on resale. No proof, but it seems circumstantially evident.

Just sayin’…

It happens frequently on here, although Woot apparently doesn’t care. As long as they sell the few they have I guess it doesn’t matter to them who buys them.

This wasn’t any smoking deal, I would just get a very similar spec machine at Newegg, and pay no tax or shipping. Same CPU, 1/2 the memory, but I would want a new HDD anyway.

Exactly, all woot gives a :poop: about would be getting them all out of their warehouse, as it would be relatively easy to find duplicate accounts (via shipping address, credit card, time of order placement, etc).

And perhaps they HAVE done just that, because they’re available again? Or maybe someone fat-fingered the amount available and left off a zero?

Picked up 2 of them
Bank of America Off lease PC’s
One was fine,
One has the BIOS Password Locked. Woot offered to send me a refund, but I threw away the boxes so… I just kept it for parts.

IF you need BIOS functions (boot from CD, VPro features) be careful on these.

(I keep wanting to run a Drive Recovery on the hard drive, just to see what I would find)

Does it have wireless, and bluetooth?

Per the Specs, negative on both accounts.

Thanks…I missed it.
