I bought one of these HP 8300 Desktops (i5, 16GB RAM and 500GB SSD) with a 28" Samsung 4K monitor for my parents, all for less than $450. They absolutely love it. These older HP computers are solid unlike the new tin box computers full of cheap plastic parts.
I think it’s more that business grade machines like this one from HP are super solid, it’s their consumer grade cheap machines that are so poopy
