HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdn Printer

HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdn Printer

We have had this printer for like three years now. It’s honestly a bit of a lemon. You’d think for the cost it would be top-notch, but not at all. It will often require full restarts, and for firmware updates, you usually need to install it manually via a USB drive.

Get it at your own risk.

HP used to mean bulletproof printers. Now HP = Heaps of Poo.

I’ve been steering away from HP printers over the past few years at the office because of their stupid OEM only cartridge crap and having random internal parts fail that required major surgery. We replaced our main two printers a couple years ago (color laser and b&w laser) with a Xerox Phaser and a Canon MFP and haven’t looked back.

We do have an old 4200 in the warehouse that has been chugging along for a decade or so now.. and it will probably last another 10 with minimal maintenance. Those older ones were workhorses man.. but they are kinda loud for a quiet office, so it can stay in the warehouse.
