can someone tell me the difference between the two offered for $499? The only difference I see is the memory 6GB vs 8 GB and the touchscreen one says touch enabled but the other is full hd touchscreen… is there a difference?
I believe there is a typo regarding the HP ENVY Recline 27-K127C’s USB ports. In the Woot specs, under “Rear I/O Ports”, it states that there are 2 USB 3.0 ports. According to HP, in the “Right I/O ports” section, it shows that these 2 USB 3.0 ports are actually on the right side of the screen, not on the rear of the unit (see #1 below)…
The 2 ports on the rear of the unit (the base) are actually just USB 2.0 ports (#3 in the above image).
This was a deal breaker for me because I really need the unit to output video to an additional monitor. I was going to use a USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter, but having it dangle off the side of the screen just really isn’t an option for us. Too bad, I really liked everything else about the unit. :-\
stimpy2k: Our specs are correct from the vendor. The photo could be older before the upgrade to USB 3.0. Also, USB 3.0 ports are not required to be blue. Many are but many aren’t as well.
This doesn’t seem like much of a deal seeing that you can now get a PC similar to this “NEW” on the HP website for just a tiny bit more than this that will have 8.1 Pro.
Now the previous deal (That I just missed recently) for the HP Envy 700-230QE Desktop (Intel Core i7-4770 3.4 GHz Quad-Core, NVIDIA GeForce GT640 4GB, 32GB DDR3, 1TB SATA, BD-ROM, Win8.1) was a great deal.
Interesting. Ok! It’s HP site directly that states those are only 2.0 ports (see link in previous post), but I’ll go for it. I hope you’re right, cause an I told you so probably won’t make me feel all that much better if I have to return it.
I wish woot would sell either the HP Slate 21 K-10 or the Slate 21 Pro Android touchscreen monitors. The K-10 is more home-friendly, while the Pro has better specs.
