Judging by the amazon reviews, you may not be the first ‘sucker’. hope it works well for you.
edit* now i see it has a one year warranty through hp. it certainly appears worth the gamble. i need a couple cheapies for the kiddos for school. this may just fit the bill after all…
About five months ago I bought three or four of these refurbs for a couple of guys at the office that need a windows pro machine but do almost everything via the web and in the Microsoft office suite. They are great machines, no regrets and would buy more of them if the need arose. At least with mine the ssd was in the M2 slot and this design has a 2.5 inch sata drive bay so you can add a spinner and get more storage for not much money. I’m awfully tempted to buy one for personal use. Need to wrap up this comment before I pull the trigger on one myself. Honestly I don’t understand the bad reviews considering this is a decently speced full HD business class machine with a 1 year warranty from the manufacturer for 2.5 Benjamins. I wouldn’t want to run any VMs or expect to play newer games graphically intensive games on it but for 95% of the general public this should be more than adequate for at least 3 or 4 years.
