Definitely not a great performer CPU-wise, but not a bad deal if you have a better processor laying about to swap into it. Here it is up against the weakest desktop Ryzen and Intel CPUs of its generation:
Interesting. This CPU has less grunt than my ancient 2nd generation I5-2540M laptop. Sounds like an avoid.
Specs say no Optical Drive but photos posted show a DVD drive. Which is correct – Y or N on the DVD?

AMD’s Bulldozer/Piledriver/Excavator series of processors were not a high spot in their history, though it did offer stronger onboard graphics performance over Intel CPUs. Incidentally, it’s also why Intel was able to get by with minor incremental CPU performance gains between Sandy Bridge and Kaby Lake – they weren’t worried about the competition. All that changed with the Zen architecture, however.
