Time to learn all about the processor
so being factory refurbished will this appear new when i get it?
A “factory reconditioned” item was returned, inspected, and restored to fully working condition by the original manufacturer or a certified partner. And the original manufacturer stands behind it with a warranty. It’s as close to new as you can get without technically being "new
YES! It’s most likely a purchase that was returned, and then the factory is required to go through it and make sure it is basically new again, before they can legally resell it.
I wonder what they do to sanitize the drive. I bought an internal drive from a local store one time, popped it in my computer and opted for the quick windows format. Low and behold, I find the resume of the prior owner (he lived half a mile from me), nudie pics of his girlfriend, and pics of her at work, where she apparently is the president/owner.

This is a great site to find relative CPU and video card info.
+1 TT…excellent ‘primer’ on laptops!
Pull quote of note:
XGA is 1024x768
WXGA is 1366x768 (same as the panel on this unit)
You heard a “yes”, but I’m here to offer a “maybe”. It’s a bit of a crapshoot. It is warranted to fully work, but the cosmetic condition can vary. It can have minor dents and scratches to the outer shell/case of the laptop. Screen may have some dead pixels. This is speaking from personal experience.
I think it’s probably still worth the gamble, and you may not care about blemishes as you’ll put some in it before long yourself anyways.
This is according to “Factory Refurbished” from Amazon though not Woot. So it should look and feel brand new.
Nice yarn !
I was speaking from personal experience buying a similar model from woot. Twice. Same result.
How long ago was this? Also how long did it take for it to come? haha
Hmm… last July I think?
And hey, to clarify, I’m not meaning to argue or anything. I was just trying to provide realistic expectations for a refurb product based on personal experience. If refurb laptops now come scuff-free, then great! But that would be news to me.
Oh I’m not trying to argue either! I just purchased my first item from woot and looked at the review on google and saw that woot as a 1.5 stars out of 10 stars!
From what I know Amazon recently bought woot so I got confused!
