Is it safe to assume the Windows 10 OS boots from the 128GB SSD?

What I don’t like about the chassis design is that the easily accessible front flap houses the dvd, which I hardly ever need, but the USB connectors are on the side (or top if standing) of the housing and are awkwardly angled back. I often plug and unplug USB peripherals and wish it wasn’t such a pain to do so.

I don’t have confirmation about this computer, but I wouldn’t make that assumption. My 3-year old HP came setup to boot from the HDD.
