I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to technology, so is this actually a decent laptop? It seems like a really good deal.
What will be your needs? Photo editing? Video editing? Business? Gaming?

I’m asking just to make sure that this is a good fit. It may be fine with power to spare, or perhaps a different configuration will suit his tasks better.
(I’ve been dealing with PCs since the 80’s when a computer having two floppy drives was an upgrade!)

For business applications, this should be way more than sufficient, as I can’t imagine anything excessively demanding versus some engineering, design, or math applications.
